Configure Multi-Factor Authentication¶

CONVERGE Horizon uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all accounts. MFA can be implemented by one of two methods: email MFA or TOTP MFA.

Email MFA is used by default. With this method, a one-time code is sent to your email every time you log in to your account. You must provide this code to continue logging in.

Time-based one-time password (TOTP) MFA can be used with any third-party authenticator that supports TOTP authentication. The authenticator must be installed on a device to which you have consistent access (typically your phone). When TOTP MFA is enabled, you will be prompted for a one-time code from the authenticator every time you log in.

You can use only one MFA method at a time. Enabling TOTP MFA will automatically disable email MFA.

Important

If you lose access to your device after enabling TOTP MFA, you will not be able to log in. Refer to your authenticator’s documentation for information about restoring access if your device is lost, stolen, or replaced.

Follow these steps to enable TOTP MFA on CONVERGE Horizon:

  1. Go to My Account > TOTP MFA.

  2. Click Enable. This will open a modal displaying a QR code.

  3. Open your authenticator and scan the QR code to add the secret key. If you cannot scan the QR code, you can enter the secret key into the authenticator manually.

  4. The authenticator will now display a verification code. Enter this verification code in the Enable TOTP MFA modal.

  5. Click Enable.
