Organization Settings¶
Organization owners can edit the settings below on the Settings tab under the organization’s name.
Restrict Access by IP Address¶
You have the option to restrict access to CONVERGE Horizon based on IP address. This is an advanced feature for organizations that wish to implement enhanced security measures. We recommend discussing this feature with your IT team before completing the setup below.
In Settings > Allowed IPs, enter the IP addresses or CIDR subnets from which users can access CONVERGE Horizon. Users will not be able to log in to CONVERGE Horizon from IP addresses that are not listed here.
Caution
It is possible to lose access to your account if the Allowed IPs are not specified correctly. If you are unable to log in to CONVERGE Horizon after configuring this feature, email horizon@convergecfd.com for assistance.
If you leave the Allowed IPs field blank, users will be able to log in to CONVERGE Horizon from any IP address.
Configure Billing Limits¶
Billing limits can help you manage your organization’s balance when it is running low. Each billing limit is defined by an amount, a grace period, and the (optional) actions that will be taken if your balance is equal to or less than the specified amount. You can choose any combination of the following actions:
Stop jobs
Delete workstations
Delete file systems
Delete spaces
If your balance reaches or falls below a given billing limit, an email notification will be sent to all organization members. Any actions associated with that limit will be enforced after the grace period has elapsed. If you add enough credit to your account to bring your balance above the limit before the grace period is over, the enforcement of the billing limit will be canceled and no actions will be taken.
In Settings > Billing Limits, your organization’s billing limits are listed in ascending order. Use the Add Limit and Remove (
) buttons to add and remove limits. For each limit, specify the amount, the grace period (as a number of days), and the actions that will be taken after the grace period. You can have up to 5 billing limits with different amounts. When you are done configuring the limits, click Update to save your changes.
CONVERGE Horizon compares your balance to the billing limits every 30 minutes, and also after each billing transaction. If your balance falls below multiple billing limits, only the closest billing limit will be applied. For example, suppose you have the following limits:
$100, 3-day grace period, delete file systems
$200, no grace period, stop jobs
If your balance is $90 when CONVERGE Horizon checks the billing limits, an email notification will be sent for the $100 limit. If any jobs are running, they will not be stopped because the $200 limit will not be applied. If you do not add credits to your account, your organization’s file systems will be deleted after 3 days.
You cannot remove the billing limit of zero. This is required for all organizations because CONVERGE Horizon automatically stops jobs and deletes workstations when the balance falls to zero.
